This bottle is a wonderful example of a clay piece that contains strong architectural styling and a beautifully glazed and proportioned form, all in one piece. The provenance is Munich, Germany. It is a recently constructed piece.

It is 7" in height. It is a perfectly formed round cylinder with a matching circular neck that tops the piece in perfect proportion. The impression is one of great strength because of its perfectly straight lines. It could be used as a vessel, but would be done a disservice because of its strong presence.

The glaze is a sometimes solid and sometimes mottled turquoise color. It has very distinguished but subtle markings on the entire body. The finish is a semi-matte texture which also lends to its massive feeling.

This is an extremely unusual piece that should not hold water. It stands alone independently, or could be part of a really fine collection. It would also do well in a gallery or museum setting. This piece is truly one of a kind.
